You can have pretty crappy credit and still get a cell phone. If your credit is so bad that even a cell phone company will not take a risk on you, then it has got to be terrible. Work on paying you bills and improve your credit score. Until then go for a pre-paid cell phone.
If you think your credit should be better, pull a copy of your credit report and look for errors.
